Catwalks and platforms are manufactured with steel grating and steel sheet stock — fabricated with custom anti-skid dimple patterns for large earth moving equipment.

Manufacturing large catwalks, platforms, grating and stairs is a good portion of Cannon’s business. We have built platforms up to 8 feet long by 16 feet wide, and use punch presses to create a wide variety of dimple patterns in the parts. Most of the steel in these components is ¼ inch steel which is laser cut using CNC lasers, and are fabricated through our welding area to add 15–30 components.

Cannon builds some grating in-house and supplies grating from ⅛ inch up to ¼ inch wide, and depths from ¾ to 3 inch deep.
